80/10/10 Diet

So I am really doing it now! I am so proud of myself! I thought this was going to be more of a challenge then it actually is! So in keeping with the recomended guidelines, it means I can eat a minimum of 80% of my calories as carbs (healthy ones, ideally fruit & greens)and a maximum of 10% from protein & a maximum of 10% from fats. I do all my tracking at SparkPeople.com (see my website for info on SP, the link on Fitness!) and according to them I am supposed to be keeping my calories between 1390-1740 to meet my goals.

I started tracking for the first time on Jan 18th & my numbers were off that day, too much fat: 63.4/5.9/30.8 My calories were only 693! I didn't have to eat as much because alot of my calories were coming from fat so I felt satisfied. But no wonder why I lost weight in the past 2 months! I was taking in less calories & also playing alot of DDR! )Dance Dance Revolution- see my website under Fitness!) But I have never been able to stay raw because of my high fat content! Now it's a breeze! I am getting my calories mostly from healthy carbs and am not having cravings anymore!

Since that day I have had success! On the 19th my numbers were: 80.3/10.5/9.3 My calories were over at 2334! Because with less fat I constantly felt the need to eat & have that heavy satisfied feeling!

By the 20th I evened out & my body was starting to get used to the new diet. my numbers were 88.3/8.6/3.1 My calories were also in range at 1552! woohoo! I was still feeling light & not weighed down so I was a little hungry in the evening but not unbearably so.

Yesterday the 21st I forgot to eat dinner or snack! I just had breakfast & lunch! I was too busy working out! I did at least 2 hours cardio! I find I have much more energy & can't sit still so long anymore, it's like my body is craving movement. My numbers were great at 85.6/6.5/7.9! My calories were a little under from not having time to eat lol 1007! But I wasn't hungry! So I guess i'm getting this 8-1-1 thing down! And I already feel the difference!
