Hey RVM,

Thought I'd drop by after noticing your blog address at the end of your post on RFT.

Wow! I gotta say I'm totally in awe of the transformation that raw food has initiated in you. You look so radiant and beautiful! I often see before and after picts but somehow yours really touch me.

Don and I started eating raw on and off about 5 years ago too. Been all raw now since July. For us, changing our diet has been a slow, gradual process. It has been part of a greater transformation towards a healthier approach to Life in general.

Thankfully, without knowing about Dr. Graham, ever since 2001 we'd been eating a simple mostly raw diet consisting of fruits/smoothies throughout the day. Then we had our main meal around 4 pm- raw soup with a main course and sometimes salad.

Since going 100% raw, we've been replacing the occasional quinoa, tofu and steamed veggies with raw goodies. Our main challenge, being in Canada, is the cold winter and this is when we've usually gone back to some cooked food. However, since discovering RFT and all the amazing stuff you can create with a dehydrator, we've started experimenting with breads, crackers, burgers, pizzas ... and LOVING it! It feels like this will be the key to staying raw this winter for us. Yay!

We've found that as long as our intention to become healthier is clear, then the ongoing general trend in regards to diet is gradually getting better and better. In other words, it's the long view that counts. If we do eat cooked once in a while, for whatever reasons (circumstances, tired, ...), we don't give ourselves a hard time about it. We just keep our eyes on the long view. Anyway, it's working for us. Having said all this, I haven't been craving cooked food at all, even with the snow and all(!!) so I'm totally stoked! Yay!

Thanks again for sharing your inspiring journey with us!

Carmella!! Thanks for your comment it made my day! (((hugs))

That is a very good way to look at things, it is defintly the long view that counts! I agree totally!

I am so backwards in that I was a normal weight mostly, a few extra pounds but healthy anyway even though it was always a struggle to keep it in check, then I got pregnant and gained way too much weight, then went raw and lost it all, then went back to SAD for a year and gained it all back plus some!! I have been high raw for 2 months now and lost over 20 pounds and I am determined to lose more and keep it off this time- NO MORE SAD!! LOL I want to look like I did in the 3 months raw picture again! I'm getting closer though! Yay!

Thank you too anonymous!

I'm hoping to see some similar changes/improvements. I'm on day 3 going raw for the first time. :)
